How to Search Twitter (X) Profiles and Posts

  • Direct Boolean Search (Advanced): Use this for creating your own complex, custom strings.
    • The X-Ray prefix automatically targets only site:twitter.com.
    • Phrases: Wrap multi-word terms (e.g., exact job title or quote) in double quotes (e.g., “AI Developer”).
    • Operators: Use AND, OR, and NOT (must be capitalized). Use parentheses () for grouping terms.
  • Form Fields Search (Simple): Use this for a quick search combining keywords in user bios, location mentions, and content in posts.
    • All fields are combined using the AND operator.
    • The Bio Keywords / Hashtags field is great for finding people who self-identify as experts (e.g., “CTO” or #webdev) in their profile text.
    • The Keywords in Posts field helps find users who are actively talking about specific topics (e.g., “new funding round” AND ‘Series B’).
