How to Use this GitHub XRay Search Tool

  • Direct Boolean Search (Advanced): Use this for creating your own complex, custom strings.
    • The X-Ray prefix automatically targets GitHub repos: site:github.com.
    • Phrases & Code Matching: Always wrap multi-word terms (e.g., project names, descriptions) in double quotes (e.g., “AI Chatbot”).
    • Operators: Use AND, OR, and NOT (must be capitalized). Use parentheses () for grouping terms.
    • GitHub Specific Operators: You can include advanced operators here, like language:python, stars:>100, or filename:dockerfile.
  • Form Fields Search (Simple): Use this for a quick search based on common criteria.
    • The tool automatically combines all fields using the AND operator. Keywords are automatically grouped.
    • The Project/Topic field is automatically wrapped in quotes to ensure phrase matching.
